The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is a public school for boys situated in Doon Valley, Dehradun. The RIMC is a feeder institution for the NDA, INA and subsequently the Indian Armed Forces. Rimcollians, the name by which alumni of the RIMC are usually denoted, have gone on to hold the highest ranks in the Army, Navy and the Air Force of India and Pakistan.
25 Cadets are admitted every six months. Rashtriya Indian Military College conducts an admission process for Class VIII. Candidates are males studying in Class VI and VII and the age of the candidate must be between 11.5 and 13 years at the time of commencement of term. The written examination consists of a test paper consisting of three parts: English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). Candidates have to score at least 50% in each subject to qualify. Candidates are then shortlisted through the written test and called for Viva-Voce which is of 50 marks, and have to attend a medical test.
Timings: 04:00 PM to 07:00 PM
Age: Candidates should not be less than 10.5 years of age & must not have attended the age of 12 years. (For RIMC age between 11.5 yrs to 13yrs).
Eligibility Criteria: Students of class VI and VII are eligible for coaching as the admissions made to class VIII only. Admission Criteria: On the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by TRA held twice in a year.
